Young adults consume energey drinks thinking these drinks are better than regular soda .Also lots of athletes consume these for energy enhancement.What these consumers dont know is the fact that these drinks because of their high acidity eat away at the top layer of teeth (enemal). In studies done it was found that energy drinks cause much more damage to teeth than sport drinks.

Grapefruit juice is contraindicated for people on certain medication due to a compound called furocoumarins which potentiates the possibility of overdose.

For years dentists have been taking x-rays in order to diagnise cavities and such, now a new study has stated that x-rays can may be linked to a common form of benign brain cancer called menangioma. Several authors have noted few flaws in this study but news sensationalism is always there to hype up the what may be rather than scientific facts.
Having said that x-rays are of danger to ones health the same way aspirin or heart medications kill liver and kidneys, yet they are a necessary evil that need to be used. The usage though should be judicious.

We are bombarded daily by images on T.V. showing whitening products , and as our life styles have changed and we live longer it has become more important to us to preserve the look of youth for as long as we can.
Teeth whitening has been around for at least the last century and the principals have not changed much.All whitening substances are peroxide based with differing concentrations and durabilities.Also the modes of delivery and activation are different. Some use blue light, some lasers ,some chemical activators but at the end of the day the effects are the same.
Peroxides infilterate the enemal and remove stains.How long the effect lasts is really dependant on the habbits of the person, i.e. how many coffe, orange juice, or food with colourants are ingested.
